Start with what you know -- address, phone number, E-mail address -- and find the person. (If the person is listed. Remember, this is not tied to up-to-date "directory assistance.") Power Reporting: People finders: Reverse directories

AnyWho
Free lookup site by AT&T (does not use billing records of it's customers) for locating a person or business using White Pages, or for finding a business by type, using Yellow pages. All residential listings were obtained from public phone directories and are updated every 3 months, while business White and Yellow Page listings were obtained from InfoSpace and are updated monthly.

AnyWho Reverse Telephone Number Search
Don't know the entire number? AnyWho will find the owner of most listed phone numbers, even if you just know how it starts or ends. Doesn't search from an address; works on phone numbers only.

Database America
U.S. residential listings, and a reverse directory.

InfoSpace Reverse Lookup
Just enter a number, address, area code or E-mail address to find listings. Reverse listings are mostly U.S. only. The best part: Look for "find neighbors of...." The result links you to neighborhood map, directions, businesses nearby, and neighbors.

Internet Address Finder
Includes a reverse directory for phone and E-mail. Allows wildcards.

PeopleSearch.net
Includes a reverse search by phone number, E-mail, address.

Reporter's Desktop
A fabulous one-stop shop for the best phone finders and search engines. Compiled by Duff Wilson of The Seattle Times.

Switchboard search by phone number
Phone numbers for people and businesses.
